How much does an AI sales assistant cost a small business?

What the price of an AI assistant is made of
With an AI sales assistant you usually pay for four things: the service or licence itself, language-model usage (billed by the volume of text processed), set-up and connection to your mailbox and data, and the time of the people who review the output. When comparing offers, ask which of these the price covers and what happens if AI usage exceeds the estimate.

AI included, and what happens when the limit is reached
1 case = 1 sales case actively handled in a given month. AI is included with a monthly usage limit: we alert you at 80%, and at 100% new work pauses until next month. A higher limit or a bigger plan can be agreed individually. No automatic extra charges; older data stays available.
You don't need an API key of your own (BYOK). If you want to use one, for example because you have your own contract with a model provider, you add it in the app; the steps are in the API keys guide.
How to work out whether it pays off
Calculate two things separately. The value of time: how many hours a week your team spends sorting enquiries, writing replies and chasing follow-ups, multiplied by your hourly rate. And the cash benefit: enquiries per month × change in conversion × average order × contribution margin. The calculator on the Chief of Staff page works these out separately and shows the break-even point — it is a model, not a promise.
The most reliable test is the free trial on your own data. The 14 days start only when your data is first loaded successfully (import or mailbox connection); you have 7 days to get ready. No card and no API key of your own — you add a card at the end, only if you decide to continue. We remind you every day during the last 3 days. Without payment, access is blocked after the trial until you pay; we keep your data for 30 days and you can download the export even while access is blocked.
How you pay
At the end of the trial you add a payment card in the app and pay the monthly plan; access continues without a break. If you prefer to pay by invoice, order it on the same page and we email the invoice. Without payment, access is blocked until you pay. Questions: info@botrento.com.
